Slovenia and the United States signed a so-called joint declaration on security of 5G networks during Pompeo's visit. On the issue of the 5G security, the United States "violates the principles of the market economy and abuses the concept of national security to implement discriminatory and exclusive policies," the Embassy's statement said, noting that it has made "presumptions of guilt" against Chinese companies without being able to provide any evidence, and it "uses the power of the state machine to suppress Chinese companies."
BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday said the Chinese side is ready to enter into candid, effective consultation with the U.S. side and make cool-headed and sensible response to the impulsive moves and anxiety of the U.S. side.
Zhao made the remarks at a press briefing when asked to make comment on U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, who said during his visit to Taiwan that China "chose not to" warn the world about COVID-19 and betrayed the cooperative spirit needed for global health.

Wang expounded on the clear-cut framework for the relationship.
In October 2019, when Washington slapped 7.5 billion U.S. dollars in tariffs on EU cheeses, olives, and whiskey, as well as planes, helicopters and aircraft parts under the pretext of national security, the Europeans said it was protectionism and broke global trade rules.
China vowed to continue to provide support and assistance to the Philippines in combating the disease.
The General Assembly has renewed a long-standing call every year in the past nearly three decades for an end to the U.S. economic, commercial and financial embargo against Cuba, which was first imposed in 1960.
With the last batch of 50 ventilators, Huang said all 130 ventilators donated by the Chinese government have been turned over to the Philippines.
As COVID-19 takes its toll on the global economy, China and the United States should stop attempts at decoupling and advance the relationship through cooperation, and live up to their responsibility for the world, said Wang.
