The director stressed the importance of respecting different cultures of different countries.
The United States is also seeking to drive a wedge between China and countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and disrupt the consultation process of the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea, Wang added.
The United States should honor the principle of sovereign equality enshrined in the UN Charter, learn how to get along with different systems and civilizations and adapt itself to peaceful coexistence, and accept the reality that the world is moving toward multipolarity, said Wang.
-- China-U.S. cooperation has never been a case of one party giving favor to the other, or one party taking advantage of the other.
Many Americans are like them: tolerant, respectful and helpful. They are neither hostile to China nor the Chinese people. Or rather, many benefit from economic globalization and the development of China-U.S. relations and trade. What they care about is living a better life and realizing their self-worth. Contrary to some U.S. politicians have claimed, they are least interested in a so-called "new Cold War."
In their messages, foreign political party leaders said they think the CPC is the guarantee for China's development and revitalization as well as the guarantee for the world's peace and development.
Yang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, in a signed article published on Aug. 7 called on both sides to develop a bilateral relationship based on coordination, cooperation and stability, so as to bring China-U.S. relations back onto the right track.
Zhao said the Communist Party of China puts people and life front and center, and the Chinese government's epidemic response can stand the test of time and history. "It stands in sharp contrast with U.S. political parties who put political gains first."
"This is a new front of the battle," said Atli.
"The development of China and of the United States is not a zero sum game, and we should not reject each other. What we should do is to draw on each other's strength to achieve common development," he said.
Noting that the world is a global village, Wang said that all parties should unite and cooperate to build a strong fortress to defend global public health and jointly oppose stigmatization of the virus and politicization of the pandemic.
